Sell More Signs with a Distinct Advantage

Love Channel Letter Sign With Moss in it

Sell More Signs with a Distinct Advantage Each type of sign has an advantage (or several) over other signs. You can use those advantages to make your project proposals more effective and close more signage sales. For example, a standup mobile sign is easily portable. That is an excellent advantage for that type of sign – and one that many other sign types don’t offer. So make no secret of that advantage in your sales proposal – list it prominently! Going through our previous post’s signage types (including channel letters), here are some potential advantages to place in your sales proposal: Pole sign * Distance visibility * Small footprint * Clearly communicates a business location even in crowded urban environments Monument sign * Promotion of strength and firm business foundation * Image of stability Mobile sign * Portability * Ease and speed of manual updates/changes Message center sign * Update remotely (no need to physically access sign for updates) * Can be programmed to promote business specials at differing day parts Marquee sign * Strong association with entertainment/theatre * Unique and nostalgic appearance Channel letters * Highly professional business image * Customizable – customer can integrate separate contoured logo with letters High rise sign * Unequalled for “long distance” business awareness/notification * Highway visibility Directional sign * Communicates multiple destinations on a single sign Directory sign * Communicates multiple destinations on a single sign * Easily updated Cabinet sign * Can be double sided for two-way traffic visibility Canopy sign * “Friendly neighborhood” appearance Those are just a few of the possibilities. The point is that each sign type has at least one distinct advantage, and that difference should be emphasized consistently in your sales proposal. Your customer is probably looking at other quotations that may include different signs – so make yours stand out.
