Here is one that went out in our e-newsletter in 2008. I think this is some useful info.

Color Combinations

You’re on the spot. Your customer has just asked you for the “best colors for my channel letter sign – it needs to be very noticeable.” You are the sign expert – which sign colors do you recommend?

First, the correct color combination for your customer partially depends on the building substrate color/type and the overall signage environment into which the sign is placed.

Then, based on our experience, here are the top five suggested channel letter color combinations in order, ranked by visibility:

1. Red face on a black return
2. Yellow face on a black return
3. White face on a blue return
4. Green face on a white return
5. Blue face on a white return
